Alcorn McBride LightCue with Ethernet
Alcorn McBride’s LightCue with Ethernet, an enhanced version of the company’s LightCue
model, is designed so that permanent lighting installations don’t also need a permanently-in-
stalled console. After programming looks on a DMX console, lighting designers can record into
the LightCue with Ethernet and then take the console away. LightCue with Ethernet handles
up to 40 pile-ons and stores at least 100 hours of DMX data. The unit operates via front-panel
push-buttons, SMPTE timecode, RS-232, Ethernet or contact closure/voltage inputs. Users can
create a schedule to trigger playback using the built in real-time clock and examine or edit the
recorded DMX data with included cue management software.

Casio XJ-H1700, XJ-H1750
Casio America, Inc.’s XJ-H1700 and XJ-H1750 extend the Pro High Brightness series. Both
promise a 4,000-lumen output via laser and LED hybrid light sources. Casio’s Pro projectors are
also DLP 3D ready and can display 3D content from a 3D capable computer. They can be con-
nected to a network via wireless and wired LAN capabilities. The XJ-H1750 is also interactive
whiteboard-ready. MSRPs are $1,999.99 (XJ-H1700) and $2,199.99 (XJ-H1750). Both are cov-
ered by a 3-year parts and labor warranty, including 6000 hours on the light source.

Pixled LED Options
Pixled’s range of lightweight screen products now includes the Flex-10 (pictured here), P-6,
F-50C/F-75C/F-150C Soft Curtain LED products, F-55G and Lightbox. The Flex-10 thin and flex-
ible display module is available in 6mm and 10 mm resolutions for convex and concave fixed
installations. The 6mm P-6, with 2000 Nits of brightness, comes with white or black faced SMDs.
F-50C/F-75C/F-150C Soft Curtain LEDs, 50 mm pitch flexible mesh products, are available in
180x160cm panels. The F-55G is thin, lightweight (2.9kg) and 60 percent transparent, with 600
Nits of light output, 55mm (HxV) pixel pitch and 330 pixels per square inch. The Lightbox is
an indoor digital signage display, available in various sizes and dimensions, with 4mm, 6mm,
8mm and 10mm pitch options.

Roland V-1600HD Video Switcher Version 1.5
Roland Systems Group’s Version 1.5 system update for the V-1600HD Multi-Format Video
Switcher provides additional scaling functions to both the Program and AUX outputs in all
modes. This includes common LED video wall aspect ratio presets such as 4:3, 5:4, 5:3 and 16:9
plus a manual, pixel accurate mode where any wall size or aspect ratio can be dialed in. From
that setting users can then scale the source material within the output space with crop, zoom,
and position adjustments. The update also lets users connect, convert, and mix all their video
sources directly to an LED video wall display. The free update can be downloaded from the
company website.
